चंडीगढ़, 15 जुलाई- हरियाणा सरकार को चंडीगढ़ अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डा लिमिटेड द्वारा वर्ष 2020-2021 के लिए 3.56 करोड़ रुपये का लाभांश वितरित किया गया है।

         मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल को आज यहां 3.56 करोड़ रुपये के इस लाभांश में से टीडीएस काटने के उपरांत चंडीगढ़ अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डा लिमिटेड के सीईओ श्री अजय कुमार के साथ मुख्य वित्तीय अधिकारी श्री राकेश डेम्बला और कंपनी सचिव श्रीमती अवनीत कौर द्वारा 3.20 करोड़ रुपये का चेक भेंट किया गया। इस अवसर पर हरियाणा शहरी विकास प्राधिकरण के मुख्य प्रशासक श्री अजीत बाला जी जोशी भी उपस्थित रहे।

एक सरकारी प्रवक्ता ने आज यहां यह जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि चंडीगढ़ अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डा लिमिटेड, जो कि भारतीय विमानन प्राधिकरण और हरियाणा एवं पंजाब सरकार का एक संयुक्त उद्यम है, में हरियाणा सरकार की 24.5 प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी है। उन्होंने बताया कि लाभांश का भुगतान वर्ष 2020-2021 के लिए किया गया है। 

गौरतलब है कि कोविड महामारी से विमानन क्षेत्र बुरी तरह प्रभावित हुआ है और इस दौरान देशभर में घरेलू एवं अंतरराष्ट्रीय उड़ानों पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया गया। घरेलू उड़ानें पुन: शुरू होने के बाद भी यात्रियों की संख्या पर पाबंदी रही। चंडीगढ़ अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डा ने इस कठिन दौर से गुजरने के बावजूद भी लाभ कमाया और अपने हितधारकों को लाभांश का भुगतान किया। हवाई अड्डे ने वर्ष 2020-21 में 13.70 लाख घरेलू यात्री और वर्ष 2019-20 में 23.23 लाख घरेलू यात्रियों की आवाजाही को संभाला है।

प्रवक्ता ने बताया कि हवाई अड्डे पर हाल ही में इन-लाइन बैगेज सिस्टम की स्थापना का कार्य पूरा किया गया है। यह सिस्टम शुरू होने से यात्रियों को बैगेज स्क्रीनिंग के लिए एक्स-रे मशीन पर कतार नहीं लगानी पड़ती। चंडीगढ़ हवाई अड्डे पर बुनियादी ढांचे का उन्नयन करते हुए तीन यात्री बोर्डिंग ब्रीजिज़ भी स्थापित किए गए हैं जिससे इनकी संख्या बढक़र अब पांच हो गई है। इसके अतिरिक्त, यहां हाल ही में 14 विमान पार्किंग बेज़ का निर्माण कार्य पूरा किया गया है और अब विमान पार्किंग स्टेंड्स की संख्या बढक़र 23 हो गई है।

उन्होंने कहा कि क्षेत्र से कार्गो को बढ़ावा देने के लिए हवाई अड्डे पर खराब होने वाले कार्गो सहित 2500 मीट्रिक टन को संभालने की क्षमता वाला नया एकीकृत कार्गो कॉम्प्लेक्स विकसित किया जा रहा है । कार्गो कॉम्प्लेक्स तैयार है और महीने के अंत तक इसके चालू होने की संभावना है। इसके अतिरिक्त, रनवे क्षमता बढ़ाने के लिए दक्षिणी टैक्सी ट्रैक का निर्माण किया गया है और इसे अगस्त माह में परिचालन में लाया जाएगा।

उन्होंने कहा कि चंडीगढ़-पटना की उड़ानें, जिन्हें कोविड के कारण निलंबित कर दिया गया था, फिर से शुरू होने जा रही हैं। गुवाहाटी और भुवनेश्वर जैसे नए गंतव्यों के लिए भी शीघ्र ही उड़ानें शुरू की जाएंगी।
