अम्बाला, 27 जुलाई:– बुजुर्ग हमारी धरोहर होते हैं, उनका लंबा अनुभव होता है, उन्होंने दूनिया देखी होती है, उनकी प्रेरणा लेकर हमें जीवन में आगे बढऩा चाहिए। जिस प्रकार बुजुर्गों ने अपने बच्चों की बचपन से परवरिश करते हुए उनकी देखभाल की है, उसी प्रकार बच्चों को भी अपने बुजुर्गों की उसी प्रकार से उनकी देखभाल करनी चाहिए और उन्हें पूरा मान-सम्मान देना चाहिए, यह हमारी भारतीय संस्कृति में निहित है। यह बात उपायुक्त विक्रम सिंह ने आज जीवन धारा वरिष्ठ नागरिक सदन मथुरा नगरी अम्बाला शहर में सीनियर सिटीजन वैल्फेयर काउंसिल सैक्टर 7 द्वारा आयोजित कार्यक्रम में बतौर मुख्य अतिथि अपने सम्बोधन में कहे। इस मौके पर संस्था द्वारा यहां पर रह रहे बुजुर्गों को दोपहर का भोजन भी उपायुक्त के माध्यम से वितरित किया गया। संस्था के पदाधिकारी जी.आर. शर्मा, कर्नल एम.के. स्वामी व अन्य सदस्यों ने इस अवसर पर उपायुक्त को आशीर्वाद नामक एक पुस्तक भी भेंट की। यहां पहुंचने पर जिला रैडक्रास सोसायटी सचिव विजय लक्ष्मी व संस्था के अन्य पदाधिकारियों ने उपायुक्त को पुष्पगुच्छ देकर उनका अभिनंदन किया।
उपायुक्त ने जीवन धारा वरिष्ठ नागरिक सदन का निरीक्षण करते हुए यहां पर रह रहे बुजुर्गो से उनके कमरे में जाकर उनका कुशलक्षेम पूछा तथा उन्हें यहां पर जो सुविधाएं उपलब्ध करवाई जा रही है उसके बारे में जानकारी ली। उन्हें किसी प्रकार की कोई समस्या तो नहीं है इस बारे भी उनसे जानकारी ली। जिला रैडक्रास सोसायटी सचिव विजय लक्ष्मी ने उपायुक्त को अवगत करवाते हुए बताया कि यहां पर 25 बुजुर्ग रहते हैं जिनमें 12 महिलाएं व 13 पुरूष शामिल हैं। जिला रैडक्रास सोसायटी द्वारा यहां पर बुजुर्गों के मनोरंजन के लिए टीवी की व्यवस्था के साथ-साथ यहां पर कुक व सफाई कर्मी नियुक्त है। समय-समय पर यहां का दौरा किया जाता है और बुजुर्गों द्वारा जो भी बात उन्हें बताई जाती है उसका समाधान करवाया जाता है। उपायुक्त ने जिला रैडक्रास सोसायटी सचिव को यहां पर रह रही एक बुजुर्ग महिला की पैंशन निर्धारित मापदंडों के तहत बनवाने बारे, महिला को ईलाज संबधी दवाईयों की उपलब्धता करवाने बारे व यहां पर रह रहे बुजुर्गों का नियमित हैल्थ चैकअप करवाने बारे निर्देश दिये। उन्होंने कहा कि सिविल सर्जन से मिलकर यहां पर बुजुर्गो का नियमित रूप से चैकअप हो इसके लिए व्यवस्था करवाएं।
उपायुक्त ने इस मौके पर सीनियर सिटीजन वैल्फेयर काउंसिल सैक्टर 7 द्वारा किए जा रहे कार्यों की सराहना की और कि यहां पर बुजुर्गों के लिए समय-समय पर उन द्वारा जो कार्य किए जाते हैं वह सराहनीय है। कोविड के दौरान भी संस्था द्वारा अस्पतालों व घरों में उपचाराधीन जरूरतमंद लोगों को भोजन (टिफन) की व्यवस्था करवाना काफी सराहनीय है। उन्होंने इस मौके पर यह कहा कि यहां पर रह रहे बुजुर्गों के लिए जो भी अन्य बेहतर सुविधाएं होगी या बुजुर्गों द्वारा कोई भी कार्य बताया जायेगा उसे करवाने का काम किया जायेगा। इस मौके पर उपायुक्त ने यहां पर स्थापित किए गये बर्तन बैंक और सिलाई सैंटर का भी अवलोकन किया।
उपायुक्त ने इस मौके पर यह भी कहा कि नशामुक्त भारत अभियान के तहत हमें नशे को रोकने के लिए मिलकर कार्य करना है। युवाओं को नशे की तरफ नही जाने देना है। संस्था के पदाधिकारी जी.आर. शर्मा ने इस मौके पर संस्था द्वारा की जा रही गतिविधियों के बारे में विस्तार से जानकारी दी।
इस मौके पर जिला रैडक्रास सोसायटी सचिव विजय लक्ष्मी, जिला कार्यक्रम अधिकारी मनोज सैनी, संस्था के पदाधिकारी जी.आर. शर्मा, कर्नल एम.के स्वामी, एस.के. मदान, सुरेन्द्र अरोड़ा, एच.बी. मुझाल, के.एल. गोगिया, आर.के. सूरी, एस.के. कंसल, नरेश बंसल, नरेश चोपडा, ए.के. सोबती, एन.के. गुप्ता के साथ-साथ अन्य गणमान्य लोग मौजूद रहे।
