चण्डीगढ 28 जुलाई- चौधरी चरण सिंह हरियाणा कृषि विश्वविद्यालय, हिसार के कुलपति प्रोफेसर बी.आर. काम्बोज ने कहा कि वैज्ञानिकों को वर्तमान समय की कीट समस्याओं को ध्यान में रखकर ही अनुसंधान कार्य करने चाहिएं। साथ ही, ऐसे प्रबंधन उपायों की खोज पर बल दे जो कीटों की रोकथाम करें और मनुष्य के स्वास्थ्य व वातावरण के लिए भी सुरक्षित हों।

कुलपति ने कृषि महाविद्यालय के कीट विज्ञान विभाग के वार्षिक तकनीकी कार्यक्रम में वैज्ञानिकों से ऑनलाइन रूबरू होते हुए उन्हें भविष्य के लिए आवश्यक दिशा-निर्देश भी दिए।

उन्होंने कहा कि बदलते जलवायु परिप्रेक्ष्य में फसलों पर कीटों की नई प्रजातियों का आक्रमण वैज्ञानिकों के लिए चुनौती है। किसान जागरूकता के अभाव में बिना वैज्ञानिक सलाह के फसलों में अंधाधुंध कीटनाशकों व रसायनों का मिश्रित छिडक़ाव कर रहे हैं जो बहुत ही नुकसानदायक साबित हो रहा है। इससे न केवल पर्यावरण पर दुष्प्रभाव पड़ रहा है बल्कि फसलों पर भी विपरीत असर पड़ रहा है और किसान को आर्थिक क्षति उठानी पड़ती है। इसलिए वैज्ञानिकों को इन सब पहलुओं को ध्यान में रखकर अपने शोध कार्य को आगे बढ़ाना चाहिए।

उन्होंने कहा कि वैज्ञानिक मौजूदा परिस्थितियों को ध्यान में रखते हुए ज्यादा से ज्यादा किसान समुह बनाकर किसानों को जागरूक एवं प्रेरित करें और उन्हें फसलों पर कीटनाशकों व अन्य रसायनों के प्रयोग के लिए जानकारी मुहैया करवाएं। इसके लिए समय-समय पर किसानों को सलाह मशविरा एवं हिदायतें भी जारी की जानी चाहिए। साथ ही, वैज्ञानिक अपने शोध कार्यों को इस प्रकार से आगे बढ़ाएं कि किसानों को कीटों की समस्या से निजात मिल सके और पर्यावरण पर भी उसका कोई दुष्प्रभाव न हो।

उन्होंने कहा कि वर्तमान में फसलों में दिए जाने वाले रसायनों व उर्वरकों का अगली फसलों पर पडऩे वाले प्रभावों व फसल प्रणाली के अनुसार अनुसंधान किया जाना चाहिए। कृषि विज्ञान केंद्र व अनुसंधान केंद्र विश्वविद्यालय का आइना होते हैं। इसलिए वे किसानों को विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा विकसित की जाने वाली हर उन्नत किस्मों व तकनीकों के बारे में ज्यादा से ज्यादा अवगत कराएं ताकि अधिकाधिक किसान फायदा ले सकें। साथ ही विभाग द्वारा किसानों की सहायता के लिए जरूरी तकनीकी विशेषांक उपलब्ध करवाएं।

कार्यक्रम में विभिन्न विभागों के निदेशक व विभागाध्यक्ष सहित कई कृषि विशेषज्ञ मौजूद रहे, जिन्होंने शोध के विभिन्न पहलुओं पर चर्चा करते हुए भविष्य के लिए बहुमूल्य सुझाव दिए।
