उपायुक्त अशोक कुमार शर्मा ने सर्दी व धुन्ध के मौसम को देखते हुए वाहन चालकों को यातायात नियमों की दृढ़ता से पालना सुनिश्चित करने के लिये कहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि सर्दी के मौसम में धुंध और कोहरे के कारण सडक़ दुर्घटनाएं बढ़ जाती हैं। अगर हम थोड़ी से सावधानी बरतें तो इन सडक़ दुर्घटनाओं के होने से बचा जा सकता है। उन्होंने कहा कि धुंध व कोहरे के समय अपने सफर को सुरक्षित बनाने के लिए वाहन चालक अतिरिक्त सावधानी बरतें। ड्राईविंग से पहले मौसम के पूर्वानुमान की जानकारी करने के बाद ही गंत्वय के लिए प्रस्थान करें। धुंध में एहतियातन उठाए गये कदमों से न सिर्फ स्वयं बल्कि दूसरे भी सुरक्षित रहेेंगे। वाहन चलाते समय धीमी और रक्षात्मक ड्राईविंग करें, ट्रैफिक नियमों का पालन करें, सडक़ पर वाहनों के बीच एक उचित दूरी रखें। फॉग लाइट व इंडिकेटर को लगातार ऑन रखें, दृश्यता बेहद खराब होने की स्थिति में वाहन चालक सडक़ पर पेंट की गई लाइन को गाइड के रूप में उपयोग करते हुए वाहन चलाएं। सदैव यातायात के नियमों का पालन करें जिससे कि दुर्घटनाओं से बचा जा सके।
