वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक अम्बाला श्री हामिद अख्त्तर के निर्देशानुसार थाना अम्बाला छावनी के क्षेत्र में 15 जून 2021 को हुई हत्या के मामले के आरोपियों को शीघ्रातिशीघ्र गिरफ्तार करने के लिए उप-पुलिस अधीक्षक, अम्बाला छावनी श्री राम कुमार के नेतृत्व में सयुक्त टीम का गठन किया था। गठित की गई सी0आई0ए0-2 की पुलिस टीम ने गत दिवस निरीक्षक सुभाष कुमार के नेतुत्व में कार्यवाही करते हुए थाना अम्बाला छावनी में दर्ज हत्या के मामले में आरोपी शिवम निवासी चिड़ीमार मौहल्ला अम्बाला छावनी को गिरफ्तार किया। आरोपी को माननीय न्यायालय में पेश कर न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया। इस मामले में संिलंप्त तीन आरोपीयों को पहले ही गिरफ्तार किया जा चुका है।
15 जून 2021 को इस मामले के सम्बन्ध में शिकायतकर्ता पीड़ित महिला ने थाना अम्बाला छावनी में शिकायत दर्ज करवाई थी कि 15 जून 2021 की सुबह आरोपी सौरभ उर्फ माऊ, अर्जुन उर्फ अज्जू, शम्मी पण्डित, सोनू उर्फ गज्जु, मोनू डागर, अमन गप्पु, अर्जित, स्पलैण्डर सिहँ व रणधीर ने षडयन्त्र के तहत हाथीखाना मन्दिर अम्बाला छावनी के गेट के नजदीक उसके भाई जीतू उर्फ दिवाकर निवासी कुम्हार मण्डी अम्बाला छावनी को मारने के इरादे से उस पर अन्धाधुन्ध गोलियाँ चलाई जिससे उसकी मृत्यु हो गई। इस शिकायत पर पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर कार्यवाही शुरू कर दी थी। मामले की गम्भीरता को देखते हुए वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक अम्बाला श्री हामिद अख्Ÿार ने आरोपियों को शीघ्रातिशीघ्र गिरफ्तार करने के लिए उप-पुलिस अधीक्षक, अम्बाला छावनी श्री राम कुमार के नेतृत्व में संयुक्त टीम का गठन किया था। संयुक्त टीम द्वारा आरोपियों को पकड़ने के लिए जगह-2 छापेमारी की जा रही थी। छापेमारी के दौरान आरोपी मोहित उर्फ मंयक निवासी कच्चा बाजार अम्बाला छावनी, कुनाल कुमार निवासी शिवा कम्पलैक्स नजदीक प्लाजा जिला शासनगर वर्तमान पता चिड़ीमार मौहल्ला अम्बाला छावनी व मनदीप सिहँ उर्फ लवि को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया था।
